James Gandolfini: A Tribute

Regardless of the many awesome roles he played in movies, James Gandolfinin will be remembered mostly for his performance on the hit show - The Sopranos as Tony Soprano, a troubled mob boss who happens to be seeing a therapist, amidst trying to balance his family life and a career in crime.

Fast & Furious 6: The Re(al) - view

Luke Hobbs: When you invite me to your house, you become the guest

It's bigger, louder and just a little (actually, a smidgen) better that Fast Five; why? Well, The Rock is no longer hunting them. period! But, its definitely a fun experience.

Fast 6 (as I would refer to it), has got awesome action sequences, wicked stunts with cars, a tank and a plane, ridiculous humour courtesy of Tyrese, and an okay script. "An okay script" in the Fast & Furious franchise is gold, as their movies are more action centric - always about the race car culture with little reference to a solid story line, but something happened with Fast Five, a transition with the plot that changed the course of the franchise, and this change reflected in Fast 6, this time and for the second time in the entirety of the franchise - they are on good terms with the law; and that's a big problem, you see in Fast Five, there was a nearly non-existent bad guy in Hernan Reyes, but there was a twist - a hunter was also in play - Luke Hobbs (The Rock), so we had the team going against a guy who had the entire police force in Rio in his pocket and a hunter that's quite determined to catch his prey, even if he beats the (bleep) out of 'em.

Star Trek Into Darkness: The Re(al) - view

James T. Kirk: Why would Starfleet ask a three-hundred year-old frozen man for help? 

Khan: Because I am better. 

James T. Kirk: At what? 

Khan: Everything. Alexander Marcus needed to respond to an uncivilized threat in a civilized time, and for that, he needed a warrior's mind - my mind - to design weapons and warships. 

Spock: You are suggesting the Admiral violated every regulation he vowed to uphold, simply because he wanted to exploit your intellect... 

Khan: He wanted to exploit my savagery! Intellect alone is useless in a fight, Mr. Spock. You can't even break a rule, how can you be expected to break a bone?

Before the heap of praise begins, I must confess that Star Trek Into Darkness is not on par with its predecessor, Star Trek, but that is not a bad thing at all. This was one fun, amazing and action packed Sci Fi experience with the twists placed at the right spots (unlike this HUGE disappointment).

Like Crazy: The Re(al) - view

Anna: I thought I understood it, that I could grasp it, but I didn't, not really. Only the smudgeness of it; the pink-slippered, all-containered, semi-precious eagerness of it. I didn't realize it would sometimes be more than whole, that the wholeness was a rather luxurious idea. Because it's the halves that halve you in half. I didn't know, don't know, about the in-between bits; the gory bits of you, and the gory bits of me.

Before I begin this review there are two things I would like you to understand about Like Crazy; first, the budget for this 'beauty' was $250,000 and, second, (and quite unbelievable) it was shot with a Canon EOS 7D DSLR camera. The entire film!

United: The Re(al) - view

Alma George: Manchester United must go on.

I'll tell you the singular reason why I love this film - Manchester United!

But United is much more than that, it's a powerful sports drama, with much emphasis on the emotion that surrounds the sport. This is a film that is based on the 1958 Munich plane crash that claimed 23 lives, 8 of which were members of the Manchester United Football Team (aka The Busby Babes) and 3 of the club's staff; the film focused on Assistant Manager Jimmy Murphy (brilliantly portrayed by David Tennant) and Bobby Charlton's (portrayed by Jack O'Connell) personal experience before/on/after this terrible event.
