Movie #99 - The Passion of the Christ

Jesus Christ: Forgive them, Father. They know not what they do.

Overtime

The Passion of the Christ

It may be graphic, bloody and violent, But isn't that what Christ went through? I was shocked to see some reviews as I feel that Mel Gibson's (director) aim was to show the torture and death of Christ in the most realistic manner he knew, and in my opinion he made a wonderful movie in the process.

Jim Caviezel performance as Jesus Christ was breath-taking, while Maia Morgenstern and Monica Bellucci as Mary (mother of Christ) and Mary Magdalene were brilliant; but the portrayal of Satan by Italian actress Rosalinda Celentano was ominous and dark.

Rosalinda Celentano as Satan

The Passion of the Christ is not a documentary but an artistic impression of how Christ suffered and died, dispelling whatever form of historical or biblical inaccuracy.

Classic.
