Movie #46 - The Shawshank Redemption

Day #46

"in here, everyone is innocent" - Red (Morgan Freeman)

The Shawshank Redemption
This is definitely one of the best movies ever made, a true classic.
A really wonderful story mixed with really amazing acts, especially Morgan Freeman's Red (who is a legend when it comes to narration in movies); and Tim Robbins as Andy Dufresne who slowly immerses you into his persona and his growing integrity.

The Shawshank Redemption's trump card was deeply embedded in the true horror of prison life -- which is in the form of the Institutionalization of the prisoners, that is after a while in prison freedom can be gained in a sense that upon release it's lost; now that's simply brilliant!

PS: The moment Andy regains his freedom after crawling in 500 yd of shit (literally!), washing himself in the rain is one epic moment in cinema history.
